I wrote about research with Tobacco plants in my book Telomere and today the words I typed on page 49 are ringing true. The pandemic caused by the novel virus COVID 19 has scientist using the leaves of tobacco plants to grow antibodies to fight this Coronavirus disease.

As I had the character Gabbie, state in my story, this outcome is ironic. A plant that killed so many, may now save lives.

Thank you, L J

If Telomere research proves fruitful, the world as a whole will have a serious problem. Our planet's infrastructure will not be able to support millions and millions of humans living longer lives... The Rules of Three (3) take over:
Rules of Three:
1) What do you need so you can live longer than 3 minutes?
2) What do you need so you can live longer than 3 hours?
3) What do you need so you can live longer than 3 days?
4) What do you need so you can live longer than 3 weeks?

(Answers are below in the photos)
Picture
Will we have clean air to consume? Without AIR, you will die in 3 minutes.
Picture
Will there be a place for everyone to live? Without SHELTER on a cold night, you will die in 3 hours.
Picture
Will there be enough clean water for everyone to drink? Without WATER, you can die in 3 days.
Picture
Will the food supply be enough? Without FOOD, you can die in 3 weeks.

As the publisher, we asked three questions to start this blog on the novel Telomere:

Publisher:
When did you know that you wanted to write Telomere?
L J:
Several decades before the turn of the century my manager and I drove by a lab not far from New York City. He told me about a rumor that surrounded the lab and dated back to World War Two. I knew then, an amazing story could be told, but I had yet to collect all the facts behind the science or put together a plot. The research and plot didn’t conclude until December 2001, when some friends who were in WWll, informed me that they weren’t looking forward to the New Year. They were feeling the same way they did when Pearl Harbor was attacked.

Publisher:
Does the science in your novel and the theory you present hold any validity?
L J:
Yes, very much so. The science behind Telomeres is not fiction. As for the theory presented, we will have to see in the continuation of Telomere and what happens in the real world.

Publisher:
Do you know the title of the next book?
L J:
Yes, but the title may not be what you expect because the story is not a linear continuation. While the story continues around the main character, the second book presents a completely new unforeseen plot to the reader. Only in the third and final book will both plots be concluded along with the third novel’s own parallel plot. The second book is called Squelch and the third is titled Remnants.

I altered some physical locations and modified the names of the municipalities. While the characters are fictional, the rumor that ignited the realization of reasons for this story is real. The scientific terms are true. The theories will lend a non-conceived hypothesis to the world of science and present a vortex cognizance to mankind.
