As the publisher, we asked three questions to start this blog on the novel Telomere:
Publisher:
When did you know that you wanted to write Telomere?
L J:
Several decades before the turn of the century my manager and I drove by a lab not far from New York City. He told me about a rumor that surrounded the lab and dated back to World War Two. I knew then, an amazing story could be told, but I had yet to collect all the facts behind the science or put together a plot. The research and plot didn’t conclude until December 2001, when some friends who were in WWll, informed me that they weren’t looking forward to the New Year. They were feeling the same way they did when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
Publisher:
Does the science in your novel and the theory you present hold any validity?
L J:
Yes, very much so. The science behind Telomeres is not fiction. As for the theory presented, we will have to see in the continuation of Telomere and what happens in the real world.
Publisher:
Do you know the title of the next book?
L J:
Yes, but the title may not be what you expect because the story is not a linear continuation. While the story continues around the main character, the second book presents a completely new unforeseen plot to the reader. Only in the third and final book will both plots be concluded along with the third novel’s own parallel plot. The second book is called Squelch and the third is titled Remnants.
