On Monday, February 24, 2014 at 7 pm in the Little Theater on St. John's University Campus, Barrie Schwortz will be the guest speaker. Barrie Schwortz, will share his insight and research regarding the Shroud of Turin as well as his personal journey back to God.
Barrie Schwortz was the Official Documenting Photographer for the Shroud of Turin Research Project, the team that conducted the first in-depth scientific examination of the Shroud in 1978.

Today, he plays an influential role in Shroud research and education as the editor and founder of the internationally recognized Shroud of Turin Website, the oldest, largest and most extensive Shroud resource on the Internet, with more than ten million visitors from over 160 countries. In 2009 he founded the Shroud of Turin Education and Research Association, Inc. (STERA, Inc.), a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, to which he donated the website and his extensive Shroud photographic collection, as well as many other important Shroud resources, in order to preserve and maintain these materials and make them available for future research and study. He currently serves as the President of STERA, Inc.

BBV Publishing first came to work with Barrie Schwortz when editing my historical novel Upper Room, The Way: 33AD to 57AD

Mr. Schwortz was a valuable source that provided confirmation and insight on various points of research that I conducted as an author.

From this collaboration between BBV Publishing and Mr. Schwortz, this Special Event was arranged.

Despite this book being a Historical Novel, the main characters are not fictional. Their names are not made up and the presented events are of the highest probability derived from statistics, witnesses, documentation, archeological finds, scientific proof, and the studies of human behavior. These are probabilities not widely discussed and may explain about some who were misjudged, misunderstood, or completely ignored. How those who were evil, became good and those who were weak, became strong. Nevertheless, the truth is unchanged. For if there is a God, did He leave tangible proof for those of us who say faith is not enough?
