Rethink St. Patrick's Feast Day

3/17/2020

St. Patrick, Saint Patrick's feast day, covid, breastplate, miracles, irish, orthodox catholicism, Irish folk, druidic gods, Jesus, Upper Room, L J Williams, LJ, Matthew Kelly, monastic prayer, penance
I have posted before on my blogs various statements on the importance of getting all the facts from multiple sources before reaching a conclusion. Today, with everyone staying out of physical touch with other people due to Covid (and eventually the real science will prevail with this horror) this may give us the opportunity to "do our homework" on a Saint that has many people using his feast day as an excuse to celebrate in profusion.

I am not going to discuss the science behind viruses or masks, (however, only N95 mask will really work, the thin ones are a false sense of security and that is the science from years prior) I want to use the extra at home time to point out some facts and subjective conclusions about Saint Patrick.

His feast day is upon us every March and celebrating is great, however doing so to just get wasted, is not. Matthew Kelly wrote: "Don't let a selfish and irresponsible momentary lapse in judgment on your part, create a lifetime of pain and suffering."

Working in tandem with these words we should all know the life and facts about the REAL MAN called Saint Patrick. Immediately one would realize that spending his feast day consuming alcohol is far from any of the virtues St. Patrick lived and died for. It will behoove everyone, as they celebrate St. Patrick's Day, to learn the amazing feats about this holy man. I promise that if you do, you will not spend your time in a bar getting drunk, you will be helping to serve meals at a soup kitchen or hosting a get together (when the virus is over) to honor St. Patrick with benevolent deeds.

St. Patrick, Saint Patrick's feast day, covid, breastplate, miracles, irish, orthodox catholicism, Irish folk, druidic gods, Jesus, Upper Room, L J Williams, LJ, Matthew Kelly, monastic prayer, penanceStatue Honoring St. Patrick
St. Patrick won his converts by miraculous acts. Period. How else can anyone explain the conversions? Not one or two individuals converted, but Irish chieftain, after chieftain and their tribes accepted the Catholic faith proclaimed by St. Patrick. Even more mind warping is the fact that these people then rejected their Druidic gods, because St. Patrick brought them no secular advantages as an exchange.

These tribes of people saw and believed that St. Patrick was a man of miraculous power. A power found in the countless Irish legends. If St. Patrick was unable to do miracles, he would have been put to death on day one. What St. Patrick really was to each chieftain, was a threat to their rule. Why would they convert? One word: Miracles.

So do we really need additional proof on who was St. Patrick? His famous prayer "St. Patrick's Breastplate" offers a glimpse into this saint's mind and heart. A man devoted to the Trinity, which legend tells us that he taught this to the Irish and to orthodox Catholicism by means of the shamrock. He was a man of monastic prayer and penance. Go now, accomplish great deeds on his feast day. Do not just believe, know, and great things will happen.

Pseudoscience

Jesus, Upper Room, Twilight Zone, Shroud of Turin, STURP, Jesus' Shroud, carbon dating test, Jewish burial lawAre you stuck in a data Twilight Zone
The average person depends on one or two outside elements for information and news. That alone is a problem if a person wants to find the truth. Multiple sources must be investigated and used in order to come to a correct conclusion.

Whenever I hear a story or news, I immediately evaluate the source and seek-out all other sources of data on the subject. I avoid early morning gossip shows that scream their narrative without facts and I read peered reviewed studies and reports. I check out the FULL interview or FULL video online, not the edited version. I always confirm with other entities and in other words, I do my homework. Even after that, when I speak on a subject, I try to avoid speaking as if I am first hand data. I give credit to where credit is due. Science evaluates all the facts to find the truth. That is the way, for science. Real science says, "I don't Know" and waits to speak until we do. Additionally, real science avoids predictions. If not, we shall only get, pseudoscience. Sadly, this has become our world today when the viewer is lazy and the presenter is greedy.

However sometimes after all the objective data is reviewed and proof is provided for all questions, except one, there may only be one conclusion left. This is the case with the Shroud of Turin. For those who say the 1988 carbon dating test proved the Shroud to be a fake, all I can say is, do your homework. The Shroud of Turin is the most scientifically studied icon in the history of the world. W
hen you evaluate all the STURP team reports, additional studies, layout all the facts, read peered reviewed articles and tests done by unpretentious scientists from around the world for over 40 years, we know from hundreds of facts that the Shroud of Turin is 2,000 years old and the carbon dating test was done on the repaired edge of the shroud.

The Shroud is made of 100% linen, but the one sample on the edge for the carbon dating test has cotton woven within, a repair done at the time dated by the carbon test. So the carbon test was right, but wrong. Also note, as per Jewish law, cotton was forbidden in a Shroud.

So science shows the Shroud is 2,000 years old, but will not have a DNA test to prove the Shroud of Turin covered Jesus. Therefore we are left to answer with logic, thus leaving us with a subjective solution. You can believe the Shroud covered the Historical Jesus or Jesus the Christ.

However, if you believe the Shroud covered the historical Jesus, then you still have one more open question. How was the image made on the cloth?

If you believe the Shroud covered Jesus the Christ, then you know the answer to the previous question. An answer inline with the only scientific theories and evidence left to answer that question. The answer is one word. Resurrection.

Jesus, Movies & Carbon

TRUTH is what the world needs now... I am happy to say that my Historic Novel called UPPER ROOM, THE WAY: 33AD to 57AD is starting new conversations about the Shroud of Turin being 2,000 years old and the actual burial cloth of Jesus Christ Himself.

Also I am especially happy now with all the new movies coming out and new videos presenting the scientific proof on how the Carbon Dating test was right, then wrong. The corner piece of the Shroud taken for testing was mostly made of cotton, not linen like the rest of the Shroud. This piece was a repair patch, cotton dyed to match in color and woven into the surrounding linen. The radiocarbon dating test done in 1988 was correct on the year for the repair patch, but declaring the linen Shroud a medieval fake was a grave injustice to science and the people of our world.

Barrie Schwortz, President of the not-for-profit STERA, Inc. and member of the STURP team that did the first major study on the Shroud in 1978, presented this Link: A New Video telling the details on why the carbon dating test had failed.

I agree with Barrie's post that this is a "must see" video. Please click on the Link above embedded in the words saying New Video and in a light blue color. Perhaps it is time the media starts presenting the real facts about Jesus' Shroud and that the image is still unexplainable scientifically. God knows today's world needs to hear the one word that does explain the image - Resurrection.

A blessed Easter to all,

Pollen in the Blood

2/25/2016

This is another major break through for additional scientific proof that the Shroud of Turin is 2,000 years old. Yet as of today, no major media outlet has covered the story in detail, because they are in fear of ending any controversy that fuels their money making news reels and specials.

First and foremost are the facts:
  • The small face cloth in Spain, known as the Sudarium of Oviedo, covered the same face on the Shroud of Turin.
  • The blood and sweat stains, along with the patterns and shapes match with pin-point computer accuracy on both the Sudarium and Shroud. Even the blood flow is the same.
  • The Sudarium has proof of existence dating back to the 4th century Jerusalem.
  • The use for a Sudarium was to cover the face, thus is in line with 1st century Jewish traditions.
  • The blood on the Sudarium and the Shroud is of the same male AB blood type. The rarest blood type of them all in the 1st century.

Now in 2016 we have a new discovery of pollen on the Sudarium and dried within the blood! The meaning to this is powerful.

The research group at the Catholic University of Murcia / Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM), was studying the Sudarium cloth of Oviedo. The research used an innovative scanning electron microscope. UCAM's president, José Luis Mendoza, said the university acquired the microscope to investigate further the relic known as the Sudarium of Oviedo.

As the study progressed, they discovered a grain of pollen from one plant that is also identified on the Holy Shroud of Turin. Las Provincias, a Valencia newspaper covering this story, restated already known facts such as the pollen is from the plant called Helicrysum that grew in 1st century Jerusalem. This plant was used in Jewish and early Christian burials.

However, the significances is that the grain of pollen is not just within the cloth fibers, but secured within dried blood. This proves that the pollen on the Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium was not a later-in-time addition or contamination. Since the pollen is adhered to the blood; that means the pollen was on the cloth at the same time the blood was flowing and before the blood dried.

See Jesus' Eyes

Jesus, Jesus Christ, Son of God, Upper Room, God, Shroud of Turin, Shroud, Jesus burial cloth, forensic science, face of Jesus, what Jesus looked like, Turin, The wayWhen your eyes are open...
I know when our eyes are open, we are surrounded by images every second of every day. I also know many computer experts, artist, and forensic scientists, have collaborated to create an image showing what Jesus may actually look like from the data collected as per the Shroud of Turin. This shroud was Jesus' burial cloth and on the first micro layer of fibers is a complete body image front and back showing the full passion. After four decades of scientific study no science can explain how the image was made. These are not bold statements. The scientific facts prove the Shroud is 2,000 years old and authentic. The media version that portrays constant controversy is just to make a profit on an amazing story that they hope to keep as a mystery forever. Thus obtaining more ratings, readers, and profits. If they did their job completely, the truth would be told and their job would be done. So this blog post and video must NOT go Viral, for the message is NOT a virus. This must Propagate! Propagate, so the culture of anthropocentrism will stop.

From the few scientifically Shroud based created images showing what Jesus looks like, I see this image as the strongest. Placed into a video that you should share with all you know and love. Perhaps the image should be shown around the world as the video suggests.
The eyes are so telling...

Science, Photographs & Linen

Barrie Schwortz, Shroud.com, Jesus, Upper Room, L.J. Williams, Upper Room the way, shourd of turing, holy cloth, shroud, turinBarrie Schwortz's Work
First we have a cloth made of linen in a city called Turin. Then we have the media keeping a misleading controversy going just to make money. Lastly we have pretentious scientists, artists and self proclaimed experts stating they have the answer just for 15 minutes of fame. Fame in a media that loves to keep the controversy alive and making money.

The Shroud has been on display in Turin now for several weeks. People from all walks of life and religions have lined up to look upon this cloth for three minutes or so. In addition, the Shroud of Turin is the most studied artifact in the history of humankind. The bottom line: all unpretentious scientists know all the facts that prove this linen cloth is 2,000 years old.

For example, the 1988 Carbon dating test now faces data showing the sample tested was a repair patch done in the middle ages on the edge. Cotton was within the sample, while the main body of the cloth is linen. So the Carbon dating test results were correct, but the sample tested was wrong. Nevertheless most of the media stays away from presenting these facts in fear that their money making Shroud controversy will come to an end.

Even Barrie Schwortz, who is an orthodox Jew and the lead scientific photographer with the STURP team that researched the Shroud in 1978, now defends all the facts that show the Shroud is authentic.

In addition, modern science has not be able to reproduce the image with all the parameters, details, or the same level of resolution. They are unable to do so with modern technology nor with the best technology of the middle ages. Science may someday come to terms and give an explanation to how the image formed on the Shroud, but as of now they are incapable. For those who do not like the word incapable in the world of science, realize this: Until scientists, who are people, present an answer that they currently don't have, then yes, they are incapable. Science doesn't have an answer, because scientists are incapable of providing one. Yet, for unpretentious scientists like myself, we do not fear using the one word answer that does explain the image. That word is resurrection.

Medical Details on Jesus' Cap of Thorns

8/28/2014

We tend to separate ourselves from specific details of any tragedy. That information is always the most difficult to block out and always truly upsetting. Nevertheless, we have a part of the entertainment media that strives to shock those, who will watch, with new versions of visual suffering. The end results create a desensitized audience, thus constantly requiring new ways to present visual shock. However, they too will leave out details that everyone would relate with, in fear of those details turning the most devoted fan.

The majority of us do the same with Jesus' crucifixion, we avoid the details because they prove how callous evil is in reality. Thus, to understand what Jesus did for us, is to learn the details. From the research of Dr. Pierre Barbet, Dr. Frederick Thomas Zugibe, and scientific teams that examined the Shroud of Turin, the following provides details on what Jesus endured just with the cap (crown) of thorns.
Jesus, Jesus Christ, shroud, shroud of Turin, burial cloth of Jesus, Son of God, God, cross, mel gibson, passion of the Christ, crucified, Passion of the Christ

First, what Thorns were used?

Ziziphus spina-christi, Syrian Christ Thorn,

At the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Dr. Michael Evanari, a professor of Botany presented the following information: The Syrian Christ Thorn grew in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus' crucifixion. This plant was most likely to have been used.
Ziziphus spina-christi, Syrian Christ Thorn. Image by Miller, J.
Picture
Paliurus spina-christi, Christ's Thorn

Yet, other experts have stated that the Christ's Thorn was used despite not being able to prove that the plant grew in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. Nevertheless, both plants have sharp thorns that are very close to each other.

Crown or Cap of Thorns?

Medical experiments by Dr. Zugibe and the image on the shroud, shows the pattern of blood flow attesting to a cap and not a crown of thorns previously depicted in movies. The medical details of what this cap of thorns would do to anyone are appalling and only one person was given this cap or crown by the Romans to signify the king of Jews. His name is Jesus.

Effects from a Cap of Thorns?

On the shroud there are sections along the head showing blood flow and the hair is saturated with dried blood. This will cause the hair to remain flat to the face on both sides. As for enduring the effects, that seems impossible:

When a Roman soldier struck Jesus with a reed, hand or any object, excruciating pain would have traveled across His face, into His ears and through His forehead. Yet, even feeling a breeze upon His face would initiate severe pain.

The perception of pain in the head region comes from two major nerves. The trigeminal nerve for the front half of the head and the occipital, which is for the back half of the head. The trigeminal nerve passes through the face, including the eyes, jaw, lips, nose, cheeks, and tongue. The extremely painful condition called trigeminal neuralgia would be activated by the thorns and triggered by any slight touch, movement of the jaw, speaking or swallowing. Even temperature changes would create a stabbing pain radiating around the eyes, across the forehead, into the lips, nose, cheeks and tongue. This is agonizing pain and reported to be the worst anyone can endure. Jesus had this pain as he walked all the way to Calvary and until he died on the Cross.

All this would have created a state for traumatic and hypovolemic shock as He bled profusely. Along with feeling unsteady, short of breath, feelings of vomiting, Jesus
collapsed under the weight of a patibulum, the horizontal part of the cross. This caused additional pain and paralysis of the right arm as I wrote about in my July 20, 2014 blog called: Suffered Ad Infinitum Until Death

Suffered Ad Infinitum Until Death

Jesus, Jesus Christ, shroud, shroud of Turin, burial cloth of Jesus, Son of God, God, cross, mel gibson, passion of the Christ, crucified, Passion of the ChristImage on the Shroud
If Jesus came down from the cross before dying, waved his arms to turn Roman Soldiers to dust, spoke words announcing to the people that they now had proof He was the Son of God, then left all on Earth for heaven... Today we would be crying out, "What does God know of our suffering? How can He understand our lives on this earth when He went to heaven leaving us to toil with everyday life?"

The truth shows God was 'within' Jesus and Jesus did suffer. This extraordinary act of being crucified not only shows God understands our suffering, but lived through the worst of all torture to do so.

Recently a team of four university professors published an article in "Injury" magazine revealing that
even if Jesus came down from the cross, He would find the task of waving his arms impossible. With the completion of this new study we now have additional details about how the man that was wrapped in the Turin Shroud suffered ad infinitum until death.

Additional study of the image on the Shroud of Turin has presented new insight and a team of experts* who did the research published the following results:

The image on the Turin Shroud shows a dislocation of the humerus on the right side, violent trauma to the neck and chest. Also traces of a double wrist-nailing is visible, along with a flattened hand. None of these conditions were described prior to this study, but have now been published in Injury, the prestigious International Journal of the Care of the Injured.

The Man of the Shroud shows the possible collapse under the weight of a patibulum, the horizontal part of the cross, thus causing the dislocation of the shoulder and paralysis of the right arm. Academics explain the fall forward caused a violent blow to the neck and shoulder. Displacement of the head to the side and depression of the shoulder. Medically, the nerves of the upper brachial plexus (branches C5 and C6) are stretched and caused an Erb-Duchenne paralysis. Loss of motor skills to the deltoid, supraspinatus, biceps, and rhomboid muscles would make it impossible for the cross bearer to go on holding the patibulum! Correlation of this and the Gospel describing how soldiers forced Simon of Cyrene to carry Jesus' cross is hard to ignore. Some movies showed this scene as an act of compassion, but the image on the Shroud tells us it was a necessity.

This explains why the right shoulder is lower than the left by a few degrees and the right eye is retracted in the orbit due to paralysis of the entire arm, as stated by academics.

Additionally, a new observation of the image on the Shroud shows a double nailing of the hands. Thus explaining why the thumbs are not visible. Not only is there a lesion of the median nerve that will cause a slight flexing of the thumb, but also the nail was located to do injury to the flexor pollicis longus tendon causing the complete retraction of the thumbs. Medically this is understandable, but what reason would cause a double nailing?

The most logical explanation is the executioners were unable to nail his hands into the previously punched holes of the cross. These holes were made to prevent the nails from bending when hammered into hard wood. So since the second wrist didn't meet the pre-prepared hole, the executioners un-nailed both wrists and drove the nails in again between the carpal bones on the ulnar side of the hand. So Mel Gibson had it half right in his movie, Passion of the Christ. The second hand didn't reach the previously made hole, but the executioners didn't dislocated the shoulder by using a rope to pull the arm. Jesus' fall with the patibulum caused that injury.

One more new analysis of the right foot's sole imprint shows two nails were driven in. One at heel level that previous academics did not see clearly and one between the second and third metatarsal.

All this new data clearly shows the Man of the Shroud suffered ad infinitum until death. The widespread pain, intense heat sensations, restricted breathing, and shock from the slightest movement of a limb, had to be intolerable. Yet, the authors of this research stated a "theory" that none of this was the cause of death. The flagellation and fall caused not only a pulmonary contusion, but also a cardiac contusion. All this together, probably led to a heart attack.

The authors concluded that all this new data provides additional evidence toward the Man of the Shroud is Jesus the Nazarene.

Shroud dates back to 33 BC

Happy Easter everyone,

I would like to share a Link (please see below) with everyone. This Link will show details about new dating technics done on left-over fibers from the Shroud of Turin's carbon dating tests back in 1988.

On Holy Thursday night news about new dating tests done on the Shroud became available. The Church is not acknowledging these test either way as of now. Perhaps after additional confirmation and publication in a scientific journal, the Church may make an official statement.

Nevertheless, the new tests were done at the University of Padua. Two tests were chemical and one mechanical. The average date after all the test came back was 33 BC, plus or minus 250 years for margin of error. With this new data and the additional Historical and Scientific facts that prove the Shroud is 2,000 years old, the whole world may soon know the Shroud's true age.

For details visit the Vatican Insider link below...

Peace be with us all,

Picture
As one of his last acts as Pontiff, Pope Benedict XVI has authorized a television only exhibition of the Shroud of Turin on March 30, 2013 (Holy Saturday) directly from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist where the cloth is permanently stored. Bruno Barberis, President of the International Center for the Study of the Shroud (Centro Internazionale di Sindonologia) in Turin released these details:

On March 30th (Holy Saturday) in the late afternoon (Italian time) in the Turin Cathedral there will be a TV exposition of the Holy Shroud. The exposition will be broadcast by the RAI Uno television network. This event, connected with the "Year of Faith," will happen 40 years after the first and unique TV exposition of the Shroud on November 23rd, 1973. The Shroud will remain in its room in the Cathedral and the length of the exposition will be around one hour. On March 1st in Turin at 11.00am a press conference will be held regarding this special exposition.

It is likely that footage from this exposition will be picked up and shown by other television broadcast networks around the world and on the internet.

Despite this book being a Historical Novel, the main characters are not fictional. Their names are not made up and the presented events are of the highest probability derived from statistics, witnesses, documentation, archeological finds, scientific proof, and the studies of human behavior. These are probabilities not widely discussed and may explain about some who were misjudged, misunderstood, or completely ignored. How those who were evil, became good and those who were weak, became strong. Nevertheless, the truth is unchanged. For if there is a God, did He leave tangible proof for those of us who say faith is not enough?
